We re-did our kitchen a few years ago, and at the time I loved everything I chose. But of course as life would have it, our styles change and our love of one thing moves to a love of another. It is a never ending battle, but not one I am choosing to fight at the moment, as money doesn't grow on trees around our neck of the woods!
I found a few kitchens in which there are elements in each photo I would love to add to our kitchen either for aesthetic purposes or for function....Are you ready....off we go!
Get your "pinterest" fingers moving!
Hello yellow, pretty wood counters and rustic faucet...love you!
This picture has been one of my favorites for a while, something about the whole thing just draws me in...even the blue sap bucket with fresh flowers and the wood beam ceilings....nice and cozy!
Wait two more...
Baby girl!
{and loads of other words, but I will spare you...}
This kitchen has function...outlets in the island, loads of counter space, two islands, lots of room to move, natural light, a large farm sink, etc. etc. etc.
If you didn't know I might have a "thing" for natural light lately...Perhaps because our house lacks a lot of it, so I crave the sunshine and warmth natural light brings to a home...swoon!
Clever little pantry...chippy paint, loads of storage and, well here it comes a little confession...I don't like chalkboard walls!! I never have, for some reason I just didn't jump on that trend. I have seen some amazing things created with chalkboard paint like above but I think it all falls back to my need for things to look clean, and for some reason chalkboard walls just don't look clean to me...don't hate me, are we still friends?
I do however like the look of this, pretty, clever and useful pantry, and it doesn't hurt that the writing is oh so pretty!....and do I have to mention the sliding door?
no, I didn't think so!
This just cures my love of all thing vintage, you can't find charm like this without the vintage details!
I can't really decide why I like this one, something about it, the colors? the floors? the lighting?...someone help me gather my thoughts here...
puh-lease!
And, well this screams beach, fun, quarky, inviting...it remind me of something I would see in a house where my parents live...relections of the beach...but I know I would tire of the all that pretty turquoise at some point!
I think if there were one thing I could change out of my kitchen it would be our cabinets, they are that faux wood...I really want real wood cabinets, but those aren't in my future...{she weeps}...
I hope you are having a good week so far....
Things are pretty messy around our house, my mother can confirm this...but progress was made this weekend on our loft....once I get a card reader to download the photos to my laptop I can share...don't hold your breath as to when that will be!
Happy Tuesday..."Stay cool"...name that movie! :)
p.s. I have a pair of Frye boots, these to be exact, they don't fit me anymore since I had my baby, if anyone is interested in buying them send me a note....I never wore them, they are brand spankin' new in the box! Size 7.5....

Oh my. Gorgeous. All of it.
I think the 2nd image might be designer Heather Chadduck's kitchen (not positive though). I love that girl's style. And the last one comes from an article I remember reading a while back (Coastal Living?) -- tore the whole thing out of the magazine and kept it. LOVE turquoise and the vintage-looking appliances.
Amazing eye candy. Thank you! My current kitchen lust is the ever-popular farmhouse sink. Hubby looks at our granite surround and gets nervous about busting it up. Someday...... :)

girl we're on the same wavy length. ;) only i have a (fairly) newly remodeled kitchen, but that doesn't stop me from swooning over more. picture #2 is my favorite...love the flower bucket & flour canister. AND yes we can still be friends. i'm preparing to paint a chalkboard wall right now, but only 2X8ft. i couldn't handle more than that either.

sigh..........kitchens are such a weakness of mine.....and these are SO fun - some I haven't seen before - thanks for the new things to dream & drool over!
Speaking from someone who has a wall of chalkboard paint and am DYING to make more...to make the walls clean (as I do at the end of each day...) just use a damp cloth to wipe it down - it is SO therapeutic for me, and OH so rewarding to see the wall that once was filled with artful scribbles, to be clean and crisp again...sigh...
LOVE when you post. It makes me so happy. :) MUST.PLAY.SOON.

Howdy chica! :)
I too love kitchen inspiration....all of yours have an aspect that i adore also. My fav being the white beadboard cabinets. SIGH. We are still working on our kitchen/dining room, but when we are finished, our ceilings will look exactly like your inspiration photo! "when we finish"...ugh. That is a saying that I would like to stop having to say!
Hope all is well in OC my dear....we will be at Rose Bowl for hubby's bday next weekend!!
XOX
ps - Batman movie? For some reason it reminds me of Mr. Freeze. LOL

i have a 1/2 redone kicthen...it just needs new counters and and hopefully a farmhouse sink. oh and a vintage type fridge like the turquoise one pictured would be oh so nice too! i agree with you on the chalkboard walls, i don't think i could live with that. my size 8.5 feet are sad they will not fit into your 7.5 Frye's :(
i think "stay cool" might be from "Pretty Woman"...could be totally wrong though!

okay, the movie... let's see... ahhh... the first thing that comes to mind is this one episode of Handy Manny, but I don't think that is it.
4th kitchen down is my dream kitchen.. my all time favorite. Mainly because it is REAL.... it isn't one of those huge ones... who wants to clean that much kitchen? not me... I also really love 6 and 7... and that aqua stove is pretty awesome... but #4... I searched for years to find the source of that kitchen so I could see the rest of the house

I want wood counters, so I'm digging that first photo.
Don't you hate it that your feet change after pregnancy? Frustrating!

You really should link back to the original photo source.

I have 90 percent of these in my favorites too!! :) how's business going for you?

I've had one kitchen that I absolutely loved, and it was the one that we gutted and re-did ourselves. Even though I picked out everything and loved it...there would be things I'd change if I ever re-did another kitchen. you're right...never ending battle!!!

Very impressive! The clean, warm, uncluttered designs makes the kitchen look so welcoming!
