Hi Girls!
So glad you are here, I have been so excited all weekend to show you my little purchase that happened to arrive last Friday!
But 1st, how was your weekend?
Did you have a wonderful 4th of July?
How were those fireworks, rockin' or what?
To be honest, we had a very quiet 4th, just the 3 of us, playing, eating and sunning!
It was wonderful, so wonderful I happen to also be off of work on Monday!
I have no idea how that happened...nope, no idea!
Yippeee!!
Now on to the meat & Potatoes of this blog post.
If you have been reading this silly ole blog for time now, then for one you know that I ramble A LOT probably more then I should, and two that I am completely smitten with ruffles and linen. **sigh**
A week or so ago I told you that I bought something that I was feeling a little guilty about, probably spent way more then I should have but for some reason I just couldn't resist!
You might also remember my dining room chairs look something like this:
Vintage set of 4~
#'s on the back~
Linen bows from Lola' B's Boutique
&
Pillows from White Twig
You would think that would be enough, huh?
Well, my ruffle craving, linen obsessed self had to take them one step further and now girls, now I can say I am completely, and utterly in love with my vintage dining room table.
I am so giddy...Are you ready???
Ok, deep breath....
Ta Da!
Ahhh, love, love, love them. Hand made, delicately sewn, ruffles and bows galore, what more could a girl ask for???
I know I am totally silly for getting white linen but I really really wanted it, so I went for it, and I have threatened both the pool man and my little punk with the idea that they both can be sold at a very fair price if ANYTHING Happens to my chair covers!
I would sell the pool man 1st of course...
Ahh just kidding...
kinda of...
Well maybe. :)
Being the loving daughter I am, I also persuaded my parents to purchase some pillows from the same lady that fulfilled my ruffle craving for their beach cottage:
And i think they will fit perfectly in their new house!
So, now that I have depleted my savings account for linen and ruffles, if you will excuse me I need to go and look for a part time job!
Just kidding...
Well kinda...
maybe! Te hee...
The things I won't do for a little bit of girly in my nest filled with boys!
Hey do you think my ruffled seat covers fit in with my new whimsy obsession?
Just checkin'!
Off to make the pool man another 5 minute chocolate cake in a cup!
Ta Ta, see you Tuesday!
XOXO~
P.S. I got the beach cottage pillows and the ruffly linen seat covers here!

I too love, love, love ruffle and linen. Weird huh??
XOXOXOXO

Oh linen and ruffles, I also love teeny tiny pleats! Yes, I think your dining chairs add the perfect touch of whimsy! I have been toying around with covering our chairs with white slipcovers. Looks great and LOVE the numbers!

Perfection!! I'm with you on the ruffles and linen...btw - white linen is perfect because you can bleach it (just so you don't have to sell the pool man or your little guy!)

Your photography is beautiful...they look like they were lifted out of a magazine!
Being half French, though, I hate to say that I think the pillow should say "Maison de la Plage" or "Maison Sur La Plage". But, that doesn't negate how cute the pillows are!

So charming! Looks likes something out of a magazine!!

Tara! You are a wonderful writer! Ramble on my friend! I enjoy reading.. its like you're talking to me. Where did you find your mom's beachy pillows? I went to the link and they aren't there. Did you get them at the same place you bought your pillows? I LOVE them! Happy day off today! oxxo

So gorgeous! That's so funny - I've been searching for some ruffled pillows or slipcovers for our dining room chairs but am afraid of spending the money. Yours are just perfect! Glad you had a nice holiday weekend - enjoy your Monday off!

Sooooooo beautiful! Was that too much?! ;)
I love them, and although you are crazy for getting white linen seat cushions, they are amazingly photogenic!
I think I will head on over there just to imagine what my life could be like with all of that gorgeous white linen.
We are, I'm afraid far too messy for that. ;)

ruffles. bows. OH SO perfectly TARA!!
I remember wearing bows in our hair many moons ago. In fact - I remember matching our bows, to our shirts, to our shorts, to our DOUBLE TUBE socks, to our solid color keds....ohhhh the 80s.
I do love all you've done - I can imagine your giddiness!!
xoxo

Oh, gosh! I am having some serious ruffle envy over here right now! Your dining room is fabulous! I am afraid if I got some of those, we would not be eating in the dining room anytime soon! Have a wonderful extended weekend!

Linen and ruffles are divine! I love all the pictures and the combination. So beautiful!

Your chair cushions are so pretty and feminine, Tara. Your dining room looks wonderful! I was looking at chandeliers at Lowe's yesterday and thought about you and wondered if you had found one yet, either? I'll just wait until you find one and copy it. Ok? Ok. Hope your weekend with your family went well. :)
